Artist, Photographer, Art Historian, Writer, Art Enthusiast

Poet.Painter.Photographer.
Being a historian by training, my world is bound by a rigid academic life dealing with the narratives of the past, its philosophies and their various interpretations. An escape from such cocooned academic discourse has always been in the form of my deep interest in reading and writing poetry; in the appreciation of art and occasional strokes in my sketch book and in experimentation with various themes in photography. Owing to my growing up in Kharagpur, Delhi and Kolkata, I have themed my snaps on flora and rural life to old architecture and students movements. I started capturing shots out of mere hobby and out of curiosity of exploring my talent in this art, but over the years my interest has taken a more academic turn; wherein I am trying to experiment the use of this creative art in the expression of the core discourses of the social sciences and to research the possibilities of going beyond conventional academic boundaries through the language of photography.
